I was 18 years old when I first put on a pair of glasses. As time went on my lifestyle demanded more from my vision than what was possible with either glasses or contacts. I had vision correction surgery in1999, and for the first time in my adult life I experienced naturally clear vision and the wonderful freedom it brought to me every moment of every day. The simple pleasures others took for granted now became possible for me to enjoy as well.

The decision to have eye surgery for either medical reasons like cataracts or elective reasons such as vision correction, can be both exciting and frightening at the same time.
